Welcome to The Australasian Arachnological Society. The Australasian Hub of the World Wide Web of Arachnology covering Australia, New Zealand, Oceania and South-east Asia. The Australasian Arachnological Society aims to promote interest in the ecology, behaviour and taxonomy of arachnids in the Austalasian region, loosely defined as Australia, New Zealand, South-east Asia, Oceania and the Pacific Islands. To the Australasian Arachnological Society is open to all individuals and scientific institutions.

Die Aktion Höhlentier des Jahres. Der Verband der deutschen Höhlen- und Karstforscher e. hat auf seiner Jahrestagung 2008 beschlossen, erstmals für das Jahr 2009 ein Höhlentier des Jahres zu wählen. Hiermit soll in der Öffentlichkeit und bei Behörden auf die kaum bekannte zoologische Artenvielfalt in unterirdischen Lebensräumen hingewiesen werden. 8226; France HABE Prize 2014.
